England head coach Gareth Southgate has announced his final 23-man England squad World Cup. The England World cup squad has a few high-profile absentees with the likes of Joe Hart, Jack Wilshere, Ryan Bertrand, and Adam Lallana missing the cut.

Following a poor season at West Ham United, former first-choice goalkeeper Joe Hart missed out with Burnley’s youngster Nick Pope preferred ahead of him. Everton’s Jordan Pickford and Stoke City’s Jack Butland complete the list of 3 Goalkeepers in the 23-man England World cup squad.

Other notable absentees in the England World cup team include Luke Shaw who has failed to nail down a place at Manchester United with a mixture of injuries and lack of trust from his manager. Theo Walcott, Micheal Kane Ross Barkley, and Danny Drinkwater also missed out.
